Pavel Tereshkovets is an art and documentary photographer from Belarus. He was chosen in 2011 by the National Geographic jury as a runner-up in the Vale’s Eye On Sustainability Photo Contest. Here is an introduction to his series called « White Silence » widely filled with the ideas of loneliness, isolation and emptiness.

    Beautiful pictures… but why does it have to be naked women all the time? What, apart from being a supposed selling point (and a sad contribution to the objectification of women), is the significance of that?

    This is not about objectifying women. It’s about vulnerability, loneliness being naked in life. The images are truly beautiful.
